Horonda Port
A dual-gauge intermodal gateway at the European-Ukrainian rail interface: a Ready-to-Build terminal beside 35 ha of industrial land.
A prepared intermodal terminal at the EU border.
Horonda Port is a 13.8 ha multipurpose logistics terminal in Transcarpathia, planned with dual-gauge rail access, a bonded dry-port zone and direct adjacency to the wider Horonda industrial site.
A terminal footprint for containers, customs and bulk flows.
The dry-port terminal is planned on 13.8 ha within the wider Horonda land bank: space for containers, a bonded zone, grain and oil, all with access to 1520 and 1435 mm rail.
Border position with dual-gauge corridor logic.
29 km to the Hungarian and Slovak borders, 70 km to Romania, road access to the M-25. From here a single rail corridor reaches the Adriatic and Central Europe, and in time North Africa via short-sea RoRo.
A prepared site for grain exports toward Adriatic markets.
A grain storage and transshipment facility can be developed at Horonda Port’s prepared rail-connected site in Zakarpattia. The opportunity is available to a major agribusiness through joint development or acquisition of the Ready-to-Build site and project package.
The project would add an overland export option for Ukrainian grain serving Adriatic and EU markets.
Road-rail logistics between Ukraine and the EU.
Ukraine's closer integration with the EU logistics system depends on compatible standards, technology and operating practices. One development focus for Horonda Port's first phase is a road-rail service for semi-trailers designed to make cross-border delivery more efficient and predictable.
The concept was developed with FS Group. Connections to Adriatic ports could also provide onward access to North African markets.
Customs, storage and handling in one terminal product.
Customs, inspection, weighbridges, cross-dock, container storage and bulk storage are designed as one terminal product, not separate add-ons.
Ready-to-Build terminal status.
The terminal site, rail interface and service concept are defined. Detailed CAPEX, tariffs, corridor assumptions, permits and phasing move into partner diligence.
